Let’s Get You Out Of Your Blues - By Alma Wellbeing

A 5 steps simple guide for mindful living

We all experience that stuck in the funk feeling once in a while, where we can’t quite possibly point out exactly what’s bothering us and yet we don’t feel at our best. Sometimes we are able to shake off our blues but other times we are stuck in it because we are constantly circling around the same thoughts. Here are some tips that will help you to shift your mood so you can break the funk cycle and rediscover your inner peace.

When it comes to energy, you have to be in charge of it by making conscious choices of creating the energy that you want to surround yourself with. It can be a little difficult at times to shake off the mood but at any given point you have the power to take the steps that will make you joyous, calm, and content or that will take you further sad, mad, and depressed. It’s a no-brainer so much of how we feel day-to-day has to do with the quality of our thoughts. If you want to change how you feel, you have to be responsible for the thoughts you pay attention to. We are totally capable of choosing and creating positive thoughts just like we could choose and create negative thoughts. Although we cannot see them, our thoughts are very real and are responsible for nearly everything that manifests in our lives.

You can choose to create love, peace, stability, and vice versa.

Prioritize your mental health and wellbeing by investing your precious time into thoughts and acts of mindfulness that is going to bring you gratification in all aspects of life.

Have Positive Morning Affirmations

How you start your morning sets the tone for the rest of your day. Say positive morning affirmations to yourself such as: “Today is the first day of the rest of my life” or “Today is going to be an amazing day and I’m going to be a total kickass”. This will automatically shift your mood and set you up for success. You can use this technique to benefit yourself or can choose to stay gloomy all day, the choice is yours!

Get Reiki Healing Done

Alternative healing is one of the best ways to shift your energy. Not only it regulates the flow of energy it also has an immensely positive impact on your mood and physical relaxation. Metaphorically speaking, a Reiki healing session equates to having a wellbeing spa session done after which you feel mentally rejuvenated and cleansed.

3 Things You Are Grateful For

All you need is five minutes in the morning while you finish your coffee. I usually recommend a daily journal for this activity but if you want you can make a mental note of three things that you are genuinely grateful for in your life. In the case of a journal, you can add positive affirmations or inspiring quotes to your list of gratitude.

Plan Your Week Ahead

It is easier to manage our routine when we are organized. Writing goals in advance helps us with staying on track and this way things don’t get too overwhelming. Planning ahead helps with increased productivity and smart allocation of time. Of Course, you can always review your set goals at any time and can make necessary changes to them to fit your schedule best.

Plan Emotional & Physical Rest.

The value of the “me time” goes without saying. Living a high-paced routine requires attention towards overall wellbeing to help up recover from the demanding lifestyle we live on a day-to-day basis. You can do this by going to therapy, engaging in a recreational activity that you really enjoy, attending a meditation workshop, or having a meaningful conversation with a friend or a partner. When it comes to defining emotional and physical rest it works differently for every individual, you should define your “me time” for yourself.

Last but not least, be kind to yourself. We all have our good days and bad days and some great days and worse. If you are having a bad day, your good day is ahead of you.
